中新社北京4月27日电 (记者 陈溯)记者27日从中国野生动物保护协会获悉，日前，中国野生动物保护协会与美国圣迭戈动物园签署了大熊猫保护合作协议，将选择一对大熊猫前往美国圣迭戈动物园，开启为期10年的大熊猫国际保护合作。
为确保两只大熊猫在美健康生活，今年3月，中国野生动物保护协会组织专家前往美国，与圣迭戈动物园就开展大熊猫合作进行深入磋商，开展技术指导与交流，明确大熊猫饲养管理、居住环境、健康护理等标准要求。
按照协议内容，双方正在积极推进大熊猫赴美前相关准备工作。中方从中国大熊猫保护研究中心选定了一对大熊猫“云川”(雄性)、“鑫宝”(雌性)，并为两只大熊猫安排了经验丰富的饲养师和兽医陪同赴美。美方正在对大熊猫场馆进行改造提升，为大熊猫创造更大、更舒适的生活环境。同时，动物园还为两只大熊猫配备了曾在中国学习交流大熊猫饲养管理、日常护理及相关科研技术的专业团队。
美国圣迭戈动物园是世界五大动物园之一。1996年，双方正式开启大熊猫合作，来自中国大熊猫保护研究中心的“白云”“石石”成为第一对旅居圣迭戈动物园的大熊猫。
中国野生动物保护协会表示，双方在野生大熊猫生态学、行为学、遗传结构、监测技术、人工繁育、疾病防治、营养学、伴生物种研究以及公众教育等方面开展广泛合作交流，联合攻克了系列技术难题，其中包括对大熊猫繁育、栖息地保护、大熊猫辅助营养等重点领域的重要发现。培养了一批优秀专业人才，出版了30余本专业书籍和100余篇学术论文，有效提升大熊猫保护科研水平。先后旅居圣迭戈动物园的大熊猫“白云”“石石”“高高”繁育的“华美”“美生”等6只大熊猫，不仅是中美两国大熊猫科研合作的结晶，更促进两国友好交流的可爱使者，为增进中美两国人民友好作出了积极贡献。(完)
